Craigburn Farm – Project Home
This beautiful split level home in Craigburn Farm boasts charm with its Federation façade. It’s built over three levels with the splits occurring through the garage as well as the entry, study and master suite. This home is based on the St Peters, a classic design that Dechellis Homes have previously had on display.
The brief that we received from Phillip and Ros (the clients) was that they were looking to downsize and build their forever home. To suit their needs we removed the 4th bedroom and home theatre plus included a large alfresco area.
The exterior of this home has exquisite details such as the classic Adelaide stone veneer, gables, quoins and mouldings including detailed timber posts and window surrounds. The Queen Anne bay window, bullnose verandah and oxford garage door all add to its character and the light and bright colour pallet with hints of dark is used consistently externally and internally.
As you enter the home the outstanding details continue with the coffered ceiling and ornate cornice which is seen throughout the main areas of the home. To the right is a generous size study and to the left is the master bedroom, you enter both rooms through wide double doors. The master suite is spacious with the bay window and the walk through robe provides access the ensuite. This ensuite is grand and completed with beautiful soft grey marble look tiles, freestanding tub and black fixings.
Heading up the stairs to the main part of the home you are immediately drawn to the large polished white tiles, stunning shaker style kitchen and an alfresco that completely feels like it’s an indoor area with a bi-parting entertainer door. The kitchen is elegant, finished in a soft white 2 pac with accents of black hardware and an impressive island bench. The glass cabinetry with internal lighting and fully integrated fridge add to the overall finish.
The family room is filled with plenty of natural light from the giant fixed windows that surround it, the gas fire place with cabinetry either side to match the kitchen is also a pleasant feature.
In the main bathroom you will find another freestanding tub and an additional vanity which is separate from the powder room, perfect for when guests spend the night. The tiles selected are unique however still fit in with the overall colour pallet and make a subtle statement. At the end of the passage are the two reaming bedrooms which are quite large, one is used as a guest room and the other as a hobbies room.
